I need some help and opinions on finishing this room and one large item is the rug...PLEASE HELP!! This is what I have found so far but I am not 100% sure?
too much with the couch and the chairs and that it would just get lost. I feel the rug should be more of an anchor or foundation. What about something with some turquise in it from the curtains?
I agree the rug that you are considering is too close to the furniture you already have in the room. You need to add a rug that adds a pop of colour to your room perhaps consider looking for a rug in the rust colour of the pillows on your sofa. As well you already have a few patterns going on in the room with your furniture and curtains so have a solid carpet will calm the room.
I would love a mutated rug with a few colors pulling the turquoise and rust but I have not seen any that are reasonable. I have done so well with all the great finds for this room from Craigslist and serious bargain shopping, even sewed curtains and solid taupe pillows myself. I'd love something amazing but don't want to spend a fortune...too many house projects and 4 kids :-)
Please let me know if u have seen any or have example? Thank you so much
I think that rug might blend in a little too much with the sofa. And I feel your pain. I am a SAHM to two little girls, so I am always bargain shopping. I also have a lot of naked wood floors because rugs are so expensive. That being said, I love the gold cocktail tables in front of your sofa! Do you mind telling me where you got them? Your room is coming together beautifully.
Thank you. These are the st tropes bunching tables from Lexington. A bit pricier than I wanted but those were the only ones I could find at the time. This rug piece is really driving me insane. I thought I wanted a soft feel to the room, but I don't know anymore?
I have 3 myself and stay home. I will see what i can find for you ! :)
I've always loved this rug, and this price for an 8x11 really isn't that bad. It's subtle and light, but gives you a little bit more blue to tie everything in.
