We are going to be gutting our kitchen and renovating from top to bottom. I was thinking of doing gray painted cabinet with a light Ceaserstone (Nougat?) countertop and perhaps white glass subway tile or carrara marble backsplash. The floor will probably be cork. We have a giant window so light will not be an issue.

My existing kitchen has lots of red accessories (eg Kitchenaid mixmaster...). I figured I would have to change out all the red but then I saw this photo.


Do you think the hits of red works with the gray? Can you suggest a good gray paint colour?

I will have two rows of upper cabinets, the top row having glass doors. I have a lot of old blue and white dishes that was going to display but now I may have to many colours going on!
